Fury as footage of youngster being burnt returns to YouTube
YOUNGSTERS who set fire to one of their friends and put the footage on YouTube have posted the clip again after it had been removed by the video-sharing website.
I honestly do not understand how such a video can be posted on YouTube.
A fire spokesman wrote to YouTube requesting the video be removed yet it doesn’t look like his letter is going to make any difference.
I wouldn’t say YouTube is advocating setting people on fire however, by allowing this video to be posted on the website they are not saying its wrong.
I can’t seem to find one reason why this video should be posted on YouTube.
What do you think? All comments welcome…

I do feel that youtube is advocating things that shoudl not be viewed but the general public and gangs are doing horrific things just so that they can watch and laugh. Isnt it sad that this is considered entertainment?

the self-cencorship that YouTube employs is clearly not enough as too many rotten apples are slipping through the net. This example shows even one that has been taken out has made its way back in.
YouTube need to work with society to keep it clean. If the NHS can have their own channel, why can’t the police. A police presence on YouTube would certainly deter anyone from posting up potentially incriminating behaviour.
With a greater effort we could keep YouTube cleaner – it’s up to society as a whole to report it, YouTube to react quicker and those in power to enforce punishment where necessary.
